2002 Chev Impala, 3.8 V6, 154,000 miles.
First noticed this at about 90,000. There would be a click (for lack of a better term) felt in the steering wheel when turning, particularly right turns. Problem seems to be worse now- seems to be occurring on all turns, accelerating and braking (even when not turning). Due to wear and tear I have replaced the following within the last 5000 miles- both half shafts and wheel hub assemblies, both rear sway bar links and all four tires. There does seem to be a feeling like wheel hop when I first move it in the morning. Also, the nose sems to be down, but I am not sure. I suspect I need to replace the struts (which are original) but I am hoping to get a second opinion. Thank you.

Check your struts.
Duplicate the problem. Put your hands on the hood and push stongly down, keep pushing after every rebound (up and down). Do the left side and the right side of hood.
Do you hear any noise?
It 's may be the strut spring.
