1988 Other Chevrolet Models Not getting Fire

What would stop the fire from leaving the coil after it enters. There is fire going into the coil but nothing is coming out to make the engine fire.

Pull the coil wire at the distributor and ground it and crank engine over do you have spark-if so and there's nothing at the plugs replace the distributor cap and ignition rotor

No spark at coil wire -check coil/distributor pick-up coil/air gap and igntion control module
