1978 Chevy Nova engine stalls

My 78 nova has had a few problems lately. First when I take off from a stop it boggs down and even dies if I push in the gas too much.
and it recently began stalling when coming to a complete stop. This started right after having a new stereo headunit put in so i'm thinking it may be the wiring?

Take it back and see if they screwed up the wiring. They do alot of times as they are pretty careless about installs. But have your carb checked as they used to get loose on top and cause vacuum leaks. The repair is to remove the carb, tighten the screws and reinstall.
