Engine Performance problem
1967 Chevy Nova V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I have a rebuilt 350ci. Block bored.60, rebuilt heads, new intake and carb. When the engine warms up it will give a "blomp" when I give it gas. This will happen on the freeway when I let off the gas for traffic and then give it gas, it will also happen from a dead stop and I give it gas. The only time it does not happen is when I slowly give it gas or when I romp on it. Any ideas?

It sounds like the carb is to big for what you have. When it is cold the choke is on and not allowing all the air into the carb. When it warms up the choke plate is out of the way and it takes what it is being asked. Unless this engine is really built up and cammed very heavy then you should not bbe using much more than a 750cfm tops. Or your accelerator pump may need to be adjusted. Maybe not give it so much fuel. That will be a trial and error thing.
