MY PROBLEM STARTED AROUND 80,000 MILES AND OCCURS ABOUT EVERY THREE OR FOUR MONTHS. NO SET TIME. HOT OR COLD WEATHER DOES NOT MATTER. WHILE DRIVING FOR A WHILE IT DOES SEEM TO BE AFTER THE CAR GETS HOT. IT DOES NOT WANT TO SHIFT INTO GEAR WHEN MOVING. WHEN THIS HAPPENS I CAN STOP THE CAR TRY TO SHIFT MANUALLY AND IT WON`T LET ME. BUT AFTER FIVE OR TEN MINUTES IT CLEARS UP LIKE NOTHINGS WRONG. NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT EVER COMES ON.I WAS DOING 40 MILES AN HOUR AT 4,000 RPM THE LAST EPISODE.

There can be transmission codes stored and the MIL will not always be on depending on the code. Have it scanned anyway, I guarantee you there is a code stored.

Has the transmission been serviced? That symptom can also result from a restricted catalytic convertor.

NO NEVER HAD IT SERVICED. SOMEONE ELSE TOLD ME IT COULD BE A PRESSURE CONTROL SOLENOID. INSIDE THE TRANS VALVE BODY. COULD BE OR NOT BE FIXED WITH FLUSHED AND CHANGE FLUID. IF IT IS A SOLENOID HOW DIFFICULT IS IT TO TO AT HOME.
