I am having a problem. The car car starts fine although when I put the car in park to shut off the key will only turn back as far as on the battery it does not completely shut the car off I have to unhook the battery. What is seems to be the issue?

Thanks

Ensure the the gear selector is completely in Park position. You may need to inspect the rod that connects lock cylinder to switch. If it is binding up it will lock the ignition from moving completely. Can also use some light oil such as WD40 to lubricate lock cylinder and see if it helps any. If all OK here, you will need to replace ignition switch and lock cylinder.
