1998 Chevy Monte Carlo 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

I have a 1998 Monte Carlo. The car starts ok when it is cold, but as soon as the car heats up the engine dies. The car will run if the RPMs are above about 1500, but as soon as you step on the brakes and lower the RPMs it dies. No engine light appears so I can't even have the codes read. The fuel filter is clean and all of the fluids are topped up. Do you have any idea what's wrong?

There could be codes stored in memory that haven't been cleared yet. Check fuel pressure key on engine off. Also note, when you turn the key off, does the pressure drop gradually or suddenly?
