Hello,

Awhile ago I came here asking about my car making a ticking noise, then not accelerating. It turns out my intake manifold gasket was leaking. I got that fixed and no problems. The mechanic said the lifters were dirty, but he cleaned them.

Today, I was driving home and suddenly the ticking and the acceleration problem was back and it was ticking. I got it home, oil was fine. The coolant wasn't leaking or anything. I put some oil and some engine restore in it, its at the right level and I took it for a drive. The noise then got alot worse, then suddenly all power was gone. I tried to start it a few times and it would try a little bit, and now it won't make any noise at all. I haven't gone back to try again yet.

This came out of nowhere, it only started today.

The battery seems to be fine, my lights and my stereo will come on.

I'm waiting for the shops to open still tho, so I will, thanks.

EDIT: I forgot to mention my oil light came on when it died.

Mechanic said it was the cam shaft. I don't really need anymore help, I thought it would be helpful to post. Thanks Rasmataz
