1996 Chevy Monte Carlo

When I am driving and my speed gets up to 45 or 55 the car will bog down and start jumping. I will take my foot off of the gas for a minute and then put it back on and sometimes that will help and then sometimes I have to do it a couple of times before it does it. My car is getting hot to.

Hi:
It sounds like a fuel problem (other than the heating up). However, there is no way for me to know without testing. Take the car to a nationally recognized auto parts store and have the computer scanned for trouble codes. Most stores will do it for free.

Let me know what you find.
