Electrical problem
2005 Chevy Malibu 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

Hi, I'm trying to replace the front blinker bulb. I get to the part where the manual says: "Remove the rubber covers from the individual sockets." Exactly HOW do you do that? They don't want to budge. They don't turn. Are they snapped in? Do I need a special tool?

Have you got the headlamp assembly out of the car? Turn the access cover counter clockwise.

Yes of course it's out of the car. But it certainly does not want to turn. At all.

Thanks for the follow up. I think, now, that the problem lies in the multi-function switch so I will take it in for repair.
