Only dies at idle? Try cleaning the Idle Air Control Motor. Also clean out around the butterfly in the throttle bore with carb cleaner and a rag. This should help stabilize the idle. If not you may need a new idle speed control motor

Well today it also died when I was slowing down/// it just locked up and went dead///oh and my car is a 2.4 leter

Does it turn over? Will it run but not idle?

Yes it turns over and runs it is just in the morning when it is cold and it only wants to dye when I go to stop!

Did you try cleaning out the throttle bore and the Idle Speed Control Motor?
