Hi tonight my car seemed to have lost it's power steering and I also noticed that the car started to over heat. Also noticed that my battery light came on, just wondering what might have caused this problem.

It sounds like your serpintine belt has broken or has fallen off. With out this belt your power steering, water pump, alternater, or a/c (basically any thing the belt runs) will not work properly. Most typically from what I have seen is that the automatic belt tensioner has broken.
