It should be on the front valve cover with a hose going to the throttle body on the driver side of valve cover. Be careful though as the pipe going to the throttle body can break.

1998 Chevrolet Lumina mileage: 95,000. I need to know where the fuel filter and PCV valve are located on the 1998 Chevrolet Lumina Sedan engine. I have done a general tune up and would like to finish the job.

The fuel filter is located under the frame close to the gas tank. The PCV valve is located on the top of the engine by the valve covers.

I am trying to find out where on the 3.1 motor on a 1992 Chevy Lumina I would find PCV valve. The car is missing, already cleaned out fuel injection and hose going to air filter due to black looking oil in it, and car ran good. Today the car started missing again and was explain to me it could be the PCV valve is bad but can't find it on my car. Need help locating PCV valve.

Pretty sure that is in the rear valve cover, should have a line going to the intake manifold. Has the car been tuned up recently? Check out the diagrams (Below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed. Cheers

Right side of intake coming off the manifold. There will be another line directly below it, seafoam or deepcreep that line as well. You may as well take your intake off and spray deepcreep into the manifold while you're at it. Dont just clean one spot at a time, do the whole thing. New pcv valve is only a couple bucks. If it continues to miss, let us know and we'll try something else.

It isn't blowing smoke, back firing or anything like that,
I can't get the car up to speed even if I put peddle to the floor. Sounds like helicoper is landing on my car.
The Intake was full of oil and so was the breathe hose, which we cleaned out.

Check all your gaskets. Are you sure its oil or carbon buildup? If its oil, check all of your gaskets: head/manifold (upper and lower)/valve cover etc.
