2000 Chevy Lumina back door

Needs the door latch replaced. It is stuck closed keeping the door from closing This has happened before when I have used the chid safty lock. How much should it cost to replace or is it something a non perfessional could do with a little instruction

Actually, it shouldn't be too hard for you. Once you remove the door panel, it is just a matter of unbolting the latch and removing the linkage to it. You should be able to do it.
