1997 Chevy Lumina car stalls when driven for a wile

When it's running, how does it perform? Any new noises, or general poor performance?

It runs sluggish and now I am hearing a humming noise from the rear of the car ty for replying to my post hope you can help for I am pulling my hair out

It's hard to make a very educated guess based on the information so far, so take this with a grain of salt.

Sluggish - When it's running, does it feel like when you give it gas, it's really bogging down? Does perform like your top speed is really inhibited? Those *might* be signs of a plugged catalytic converter. I'm just bringing that up because of the noise from rear of car (although catalytic converter is sort of right in the middle of the car, but sound would come from the rear).

That's a stretch, but a maybe. A plugged converter will really hank with your performance pretty badly.

Ok I changed all the spark plugs and wires also changed the coils and I changed the fuel filter but car still surgres when pedal goes down about half way please some one help get ready to junk the car
