Brakes problem
1995 Chevy Lumina 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive 103226 miles

i change the rotors and brake pads and when I drive I get a knocking sound from the caliper when I removed the tire I noticed the caliper can be moved side to side all bolts are tight and its the right size rotor thickness and diameter. Could it be the piston s not sitting right?

Take the bolts out of the caliper and take the bolts out of the caliper mount, the large torx bit ones.

Clean all the rust off of them and then put them and the caliper mount back on and properly torque them down and make sure the mount is TIGHT.

Then put the caliper back on and properly torque it.

The caliper I a floatting kind and it is supposed to be loose like that so that it self adjusts for rotor and pad thickness.
