I have a 1995 Chevy Lumina APV, it has 176,000 miles on it. I had an accident and ran a steel pole and damaged the right front side of my van. (I hit the pole and slidely crack the fender but also my tire got part of the pole and pushed it back where it is touching the bottom side of the fender) drove it home. I went to the junk yard and got a lower control arm and replace it. I also replaced the struts.
Now, I am hearing a thumping noise coming from the front right where the damage is. And also the left side I am beginning to hear the same thing. My guess are the CV Joint is going out, struts need replaced, or some other thing. Oh! I did replace the lower ball joint about a year ago. What could be the problem? Any help will do. Thanks

Did you check your tie rod? When a tie rod is loose it can make weird noise. To check the tie rod, jack the car until the tire dosen't touch the ground, take the tire with your two hands (one on the right side and the other on the left) pull on the left side and at the same time push the right side. After try it the other way (pull right and push left). If there is any loose your tie rod end could be loose.
