Purchased one owner vehicle sitting 8 months. Firing on 4 cylinders, plugs, wires, coil packs good. Ignition control module bad, replaced, running good. Added seafoam to full tank. Drove a little in town, then gave to son who drove it 80 miles to his home town. After driving in town errands, car stalled. He tried jumping, started then stalled. Tried again, kept running to get it home. When cooled down, starts up. I'm thinking fuel filter should be replaced; However, stalling during in town driving as opposed to highway (higher rpm) has me thinking possible booger fuel pump. Will a fuel system pressure test tell me if it is one or the other, or both? What do you think? I hear it would be a $500 bill for the fuel pump repair.

I would recommend checking fuel pump pressure. TO check both, you will need to check it before the fuel filter and then at the fuel rail. Here is a how to for checking.

Let me know what you find.
