Automatic transmission had 160,000miles. The problem that I have is the transmission will not engage into reverse mode when hot. Before the above problem the transmission acting slow in engaging to reverse. The reverse is engaging fine when the car park overnight(everything cold/cool down) or give it enough time to cool down. It engages OK in drive mode and shifting smooth when driving from 0 Mile to 60Mile per hour or more. I had a transmission shop in my local area test drive. The transmission shop could not give me a straight honest answer other than ask me to pay them a fee to take the transmission apart see what is really went wrong. Could your please help me resolve my problem or an alternative solution that could save me some bucks. I had changed transmission fluid(torque converter, filter) by another local transmission shop and it did not help. Thank you very much for your time

Did you have the transmission changed or did they flush the system? I bought a car that had problems shifting. After having the oil flushed then a week
later just had it changed, the car ran fine. There
are also transmission cleaner out there on the market. Pick one add it to transmission a couple of days before you change it. It will help clean it out.
