I have a 97 gmc sierra with 5.7 in it. I keep getting code 1351 and no one can tell me or wont tell me what it is. And something I beleive related to code is the truck keeps " burning up " distributor caps and rotors

According to my book (GM) the code 1351 is " Ignition Coil Circuit Voltage HIGH.

Perhaps a bad relay or grounding issue, I am not sure. Also check fuses to insure proper amps on same.

Hello: You might check to see if you have the proper spark plug wires. You should not have solid core wires. They should be of the resistance type. Possibly bad coil or ign module causing to much dwell, hence to much coil saturation. Everybody likes high voltage to the plugs, but to much can be a bad thing
good luck
Darryl.
