2004 Chevy Impala How to open the fuse panel

Electrical problem
2004 Chevy Impala 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive 72000 miles

The cigarette lighter doesnt work and I suspect a blown fuse, the trouble is I don't want to break the panel pulling it off wrong. Any suggestions?

I believe the cover for the fuse block pops in and out, has clips that hold it in. You could take a small screwdriver and pry under the edge of it and pull gently to see if you can see if this is correct. If it is, continue prying around the edges of the cover until it is off. I'm assuming the cover your speaking of is located on the left side of the dash.
