I am recently having a problem with the turn signals and hazard lights. I have been told a blinker relay is a dealer only item. So I want to be sure this is the problem as there is a no return policy on electrical parts. Periodically for the past 3 days when I turn on the turn signal sometimes it works and sometimes it doesent. It is not showing a green lit arrow on the dash at all. The hazards are the same.

Hello,

It sounds like you might have a faulty turn signal switch (multi function switch).
Those switches can get worn overtime and will give you intermittent issues.
Replacement of the turn signal switch can be done using simple hand tools in about an hour, depending on your comfort level.
You will have to remove the shrouds around the steering wheel to get to the bolts that keeps the switch in place.

I have attached diagrams for your reference.

Please let me know of any questions.

Thank you.
