I drove the car home last night parked it in garage. My wife went out to start it this morning. Cranked but wouldn't start. Put some gas in thinking it was out of gas still won't start. Any ideas.

Welcome to the forum. Have a helper crank the vehicle, while you check for spark at the plugs. If you have spark everywhere, use a gage and check fuel pressure. This sounds like the crankshaft angle sensor or the fuel pump has gone out, when you turn the key to the on position without cranking the engine over can you hear the fuel pump run in the tank for 5 seconds?

Please run down this guide and report back.

To check for spark at the plugs, you can pull a spark plug boot, stick a known good plug in the boot or use a spark tester, the autostore sells them, you plug into the boot and ground to metal part of engine, watch for spark as the engine is cranked.
