The wiring harness running from the body of the car into the driver side door are made extremely short. My windows started acting up. First the driver side and then eventually all the other doors. I google searched the problem and came to a site where it was suggested that I pull the rubber cover back from the wires and sure enough, that was the problem. However, at first I thought I had hit a dead end. I really had to finger through the cluster of wires before finding there was a black wire that had snapped. As for fixing it, my husband had a device that clamped to one end and then to the other, pinching into the rubber but not cutting through the copper. It was just long enough to give it the extension it needed. I tested the window and it worked like new! It was so easy. And cost me nothing (thanks to my husbands wire clamp thing). If this doesn't help, you might look into a worn or defective power window switch. I'd go the cheapest route first though.
