2001 Chevy Impala My car die's

I have a 3.4 Lt. And i've run a diognostic on it and have some codes, but I want to make sure I am getting ready to by the right parts. When I go to start my car at any time, I have to give it gas if not it will not start. So after about a min, or so of giving gas it will be fine. However it will randomly die on me, not the battary but the engine, and I don't have a clue on what it could be? The diognostic code says it has something to do with the idle air controll. What do you think it could be?

Test the CTS and clean out the idle air control valve

Have a mechanic check thefuel pressure regulator.
Goodyear found mine leaked and charged me $160 and no more problem.
