2001 Chevy Impala car wont start

Electrical problem
2001 Chevy Impala 6 cyl 47800 miles

On cold mornings (-20 to 0 F) I cannot get my car started. It makes a clicking sound but wont turn the starter. I though it was my battery and bought a new one but it did not help. When I replaced the battery the terminals looked clean. I can sometimes get it started if I try turning the key enough times.

I had a similar problem with my 2001 Impala. Depending on what "clicking sounds" you hear. With mine, the ignition switch turned out to be the culprit. Whenever the cabin cooled down below a certain temp, one bank of switches in the ignition switch wouldn't make contact when the switch was in the run position.
