2006 Chevy Equinox car not starting

Car is making a clicking sound when trying to start it, is this a starter problem or battery problem? Expensive to repair?

Most likely charging system. Inspect battery cables to ensure they are tight and clean. If OK have batter and alternator tested, most auto part stores will do this for free.
