How to test point and condenser

I don't ever remember testing points or condensors. And i've been doing ths for a very long time. If the points are burnt-replace them and the condensor. If you have a dwell meter make sure to set them at 30 degrees with the vacuum disconnected. Then set your timing the same way. Best thing to do though is get rid of them and either put in a petronics electronic ignition or put an electronic distributor from a later model Chevrolet. Thoseare much better than points and you don't need to "change them" every time they go bad.
