Hello, my corsica idles pretty good when in park, but when in drive at a stop sign it will stall sometimes and always acts like it wants to. Has new plugs and wires and EGR. And sometimes when coasting to a stop sign will just die and shut off. What is causing this? And also there is burnt rubber on alternator, it smokes(the serpentine belt) Nothing is locked up like the pulleys, What could this be? I am a pretty good amatuer mechanic, but the stalling problem has me baffled, THANKS

I think the stalling is attributed to the iac, idle air control valve. And a dirty throttle body. A good cleaning and maybe a replacement of the iac if cleaning it doesnt help. Should clear you right up
