Engine Performance problem
1996 Chevy Corsica 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 226k miles

I have a 1996 v6 3.1 chevy corsica. Im having problems getting it to start and then run. When I do manage to get it started which takes various attempts it runs smooth and sounds good then suddenly struggles and dies. I have replaced the fuel filter and put a brand new fuel pump in it. Despite all my repairs it still struggles to start and then randomly dies. I have recently found a massive gash in my air intake house. What im asking is will replacing the hose fix my problem becuase its not gettin the proper air/fuel mixture or is there something else im missing?

That can cause your problems yes, dont just tape it up, you need to replace it with new or close to new. Clean the throttlebody too. Keep me posted

Also you may want to change the pcv valve. As this lets the engine breath. Otherwise you will shut down if its clogged, and sometimes not even start
