Last week the car started stopping at the end of the highway on-ramp. After replacing the fuel filter, fuel pump relay, plugs and wires as well as fixing a vaccum leak the car has gone from stopping on the road to shutting off immediately after starting. The coil is only six months old too so, we are running out of ideas about what could be the problem.

If you have spark, good fuel pressure, and good compression, it should well. Does this have the 3.1L V6? If so, make sure there isn't a leak around the intake gasket. That is a common problem.
