1991 Chevy Cheyenne Oil Pressure

For the past several years this truck has had a problem with the oil pressure gauge. What is causing the gauge to barry, or tac out, wile cold and fluctuate when warm. When it is warm you hit the gas and it barrys it again. I was told it was the sending unit.

Best way to tell if its the oil pressure sending unit is to hook up a mechanical gauge and check the oil pressure if its normal replace the oil pressure switch abnormal could be the oil pump and engine bearings
