Oil light

I have a 97 cav 2.2L with about 119,000 miles and I am having problems with the check oil light. When ever I drive the car and get it to opreating temp the check oil light comes on when ever the engine is idling. But as soon as the engine is above idle the light goes out. Any ideas?

First I would check youre oil level, If that checks out good, Then I would take a look at youre oil pressure sending unit, Its either leaking or broken, Needs replacing.
