2000 Chevy Cavalier gas gage oil light

The oil light in my car comes on when I am at a stop or idle. The gas gage starts acting stupid by not regestering right and the oil light comes on. Does this mean my fule pump is going out.

Hard to say. May be an electical issue or instrument cluster problem. Also may have separate problems with the sending units.
