96 Cavalier Issues

My 96 Cavalier was in a wreck nothing huge but I had to replace the radiator, after I did that I still couldnt get the car to start, I pulled out the air bags and it still wont start, I thought it was the starter but when u put a screw driver down there it wants to turn over that way but it wont stay on, if u put the key in the ignition and turn it. Everything on the inside turns on like usual but the engine just wont turn over. Idk what to do anymore

Ok I just got it started but not with the key in the ignition way, I had the key turned on but it wouldnt start so I went to the starter with the screw driver and got it started that way, and it ran how come it wont run from the ignition being turned on?
