2005 chevy cavalier 4 door wont turn over but has full lights, radio not the starter, alternator or battery says three onlookers who said they knew their stuff but they think its the timing chain. So its not the fuel pump or filter then?

Gonna have to get it towed to a garage tomorrow and get it fixed but if its the timing chain its gonna be costly. Could it at all be the.99 bottle of super gas treatment I put in it yesterday thinking for the hell of it it would help? Maybe this caused water or moisture to settle in or is it nothing to do with it. Just bad timing for me.

great site though :-)

It cranks and wants to turn over but nothing. The guy who wants to tow it tomorrow said def the timing chain but im not so sure. Its been great to me although I must say in 6mo I have not gotten an oil change yet but will immediately once fixed but could it not have oil or? Onlookers said they hear the fuel pump fine and its not the starter, battery or alternator so idk

So its not the fuel pump or filter then? Also, although I hope it hurt nothing but I put in some cheap.99 bottle of super gas cleaner or whatever yesterday. Did it maybe get water or moisture in it or was it not that at all and its just bad timing? I just got this used car 6mo ago and less than 52000 miles

What happens when you turn the key?Crank and turnover are the same thing. Does it just click?Does it turn over slow? Does it turn over normally and just not start?Your post does not make since you need to be clear about what's happening, then we can help you.

Im saying it is not the battery and not experiencing clicking like it aint getting juice.I am wanting you to answer further on the normal turnover with no start. The garage says it will be 4.5hrs labor to do the timing chain and would all come to $400.$200 for the part and labor and loaner car for a day and tow. Not bad actually but still I wish it wasnt such a big problem instead of a fuse or filter burn up or the like
