2005 Chevy Cavalier low engine temp.

My heater is not getting warm, the temp. Guage is not rising over 140 and recently got a code for low engine temp. I checked for low coolant and the radiator is full, my next thought was the thermostat. I looked for the location of the thermostat housing and it doesn't appear to be connected to the top radiator hose, can you please help me with the location of the thermostat? Also, could this low temp. Be anything else? Thanks for your help in this matter.

Hey the ther. Is located by the ac compresor. It's on the pass. Side of the motor. It at the bottom of the block. You'll see a big hose going the a metal flange. 2 screw and it's off. And 95 % chance. Thats the problem. The therm. Is not up by the end of the block above the tranny
