I'm replacing the cylinder head on a 2000 chevy cavalier 2.2l. I've ordered a chilton's manual but did not arrive in mail yet & today is Sun. I need to know head torque, valve settings, & pattern. Thanks.

Purge the system of air. Bleed it to remove the air from the system. It is possible that you have a leak in the system. The system is a closed one and thus should be coolant only and no air. I leak can reduce the pressure that the system is designed to maintain and that reduction of pressure can cause temp problems.
