I'M TRYING TO FIGURE OUT HOW HARD IT IS TO REPAIR A HEAD GASKET ON MY OWN. JUST LOOKING FOR A STEP BY STEP INSTUCTIONS ON HOW TO DO THAT. I KNOW THAT THE HEATER CORE IS BAD TO. SHOULD I DO THAT FIRST THEN DO THE HEAD GASKET. IF YOU CAOULD PLEASE LET ME KNOW HOW TO DO THAT GASKET AND PUT IT BACK IN. THANK YOU

Whats wrong with the head gasket? What is the car doing that you think that it needs to be done? Heater core is alot easier to replace.

My wife was driving and white smoke just came out the back end. I work on car for a living but I was just wondering how to change this type of head gasket on this car. 1994 chevy cavliver 4 cylinder.
