mon. May 10 2010 bluelightnin6 advised me to replace vss, speed sensor. I did and it made no difference. What's my next move? Thanks greg

Original problem - speedo and tach needles start jumping at about 45 mph also downshifts. Was told by local mech. That alt. Was spiking. New alt. Same problem. 2carpros mech. Bluelightnin6 said vechle speed sonsor. New vss installed, same problem. Next move? Thanks, greg

Have instrument cluster tested by dealer or trusted garage, Instrument cluster could be bad and you need high end equipment to test.

If test confirms IP is bad, look for good used one at junkyard.
