I just lost my keys to my 2001 cavalier and I own another cavalier a 1999 I was wondering if the locks will be compatible because I definitely don't have the money to get new locks and ignition

Yes they are the same but you will have to reset the theft system. To do that simply try to start it, it will go dead and the theft system on the dash will be blinking. Just let it blink until it stops blinking. About 10-20 mins. Turn if off for about 30 seconds. Then you will be good to go. OR just call a locksmith They can cut you a key by code.
