1998 Chevy Cavalier possible problems?

Heater problem
1998 Chevy Cavalier

Offered a 98 Cavalier 4Dr 140000km
for $1000 but the heater does not work.

I been told it is not the thermostate; what are the possilbe problems?

It is possible that the thermostat is stuck open, it is also possible the heater core is plugged, the waterpump is bad, it is low on coolant etc.

Have the car inspected by a mechanic BEFORE you buy it to find out the problem.
Used cars are sold AS IS, unless the owner specifically gives you a WRITTEN warranty.

If the owner won't agree to have it inspected, then don't buy it. It may cost you a few bucks to get the inspection, but may wind up saving you a whole lot more.
