1997 Chevy Cavalier starting

Are you saying it cranks good but won't start? If so, how about your security system? If it is the security system, you can try a relearn procedure. If the relearn doesn't work, I'd have to look at it. Might not even be your security system, just a thought.

When the failure occurs, leave the key on, is the security lite on? If so, leave the key on till the lite goes out, may take about ten minutes. When the lite goes out, cycle the key off, then try to start. That is the relearn procedure.
