Just curious as to how a catalytic converter is changed in a 97 Chevy Cavalier? How long does it usually take?

The converter is replaced by having it cut out and having a new converter welded into place on the exhaust system. This normally takes around 45 minutes to an hour depending on the experience of the repair shop.
