Car would start with a loud scream. Now it sounds like the starter just makes a loud click. I tested the battery and it's great, started my Expedition with it. The click is extremely loud but not turning the fly wheel. Was having trouble before with a lot of noise. Is a very loud clicking from the starter mean that the starter is Bad. First try. The engine tried to start. I turned the key off tried again. The engine tried a little less. The third time the clicking started. Any ideas.

The loud screeming could be it not disengaging when the vehicle is started.

Replace the starter.

Drop the starter and investigate the drive pinion and the flex plate-could be you are too far from the flex plate and might need shimming the starter or the starter itself is defective.
