Hi Guys,
My 96 cav convert sat all winter with a very leaky old top, which I have just replaced. Now the headlamps are not working. The daytime driving lights work, but I have neither high or low beams. The dash lights work as well, but interior lights don't work either. Is this likely a corrosion issue somewhere under the dash?

Hi there,

Thank you for the donation,

This may be your problem, are the floor mats wet? Have you checked the fuses? Check under the dash and look for signs of water leaking down behind the dash, have you repaired or replaced the top as yet as if not you may well have these and more problems after we get the lights sorted.

Hi Mark,

The top has been replaced and the car is dried out now. When I parked it before winter, everything worked. It got very wet inside this past winter, and I had to scrub mildew more than once, so I have to assume there is a distinct possibility that something in the fuse panel or other connectors inside are possible corroded and may just need cleaning. I haven't dug into anything yet, as I wanted to find a starting point.

Thanks,
D
