1988 Chevy Cavalier Used Car

I recently purchased my first car, a used '88 Cavalier with only 40,000 miles. I was wondering what things I can do to try and keep the engine in good shape, are there any extra fluids I should be adding or something along those lines?

The best things to do are keep the oil changed, and all fluids. If you follow the owner's manual maintenance schedule, you're doing what you need to do.
