I had my car serviced Brakes and calibers, tune up, oil change, radiator hose replaced. Was driving down the road for about 20 mins when car cut off and would not restart. My brother drove it home rebbing the engine and holding the brakes to keep it cranked when we got the car to the mechanic he said we needed a transmission is that possible?

Hi there,

I doubt that this is the case, I would be thinking that it is a tune related problem, as he did a tune up, he should be checking this for free, if you doubt that he will do the right thing by you, cut your losses and get a new mechanic to investigate this for you.
