1987 Chevy Caprice Engine Overheating

I have a 1987 chevy caprice that has a 400 V8 from a Monte Carlos with was professional installed and drives great and I haven't had any problems with besides when im stuck in traffic my car will begin to overheat but as soon I i take off it begine to cool down back to its normal temp I have been told its probably my manifold but I heard about the great service on this site and was just hoping u could give me your opinion thanks for you time

Sounds more like a radiator fan problem.

If you have a thermoclutch fan, where the fan is attached to the engine. After the engine is hot.
Turn off the engine and see if you can spin the fan by hand.
There should be a lot of resistance.

The fan could also not be matched to the fan shroud on the radiator.
