This is my first time using this site and I'm concered about my camaro. It's a 1991 Camaro RS with a small V6. I'm not really sure how many miles are on the car considering that the odometer doesn't work along with the speedometer. I bought the car a little over 2 months ago from a dealer ship and everything has been smooth. Recently I haven't been able to drive my car due to a loud banging noise on the passenger side. I also have absolutly no brakes now. It sounds like my passenger tire is wobbling but I checked and it's completely fine. I have been told I might need a new front end or it's my drive shaft. When I'm turning my car, the banging noise seems to stop until I'm straight again. I also need a front-end alignment but I don't think that would have anything to do with it. I've done one oil change since I've had the car and that was in the middle of March.I don't have much luck with cars since I've been driving and I'm 20 years old. My 1st cavalier had sugar in the gas tank and my 1st camaro my boyfriend had totalled, so please help me find out whats wrong with my Camaro. I don't want to lose my 2nd camaro. Thanks
Katie :D

Kate,
Check your wheel bearings and your brake caliper. You can take it to Les Schwabb and they will check both for free.
Let us know what they find.

As for the speedometer and mileage, try replacing the speed sensor located on the transmission. It's just a matter of unscrewing the old one and slipping in the new. Worked for me.
